Looking to download all the DLC from Borderlands 2 that I purchased on the 360 onto my Xbox One. I have already moved the saved game data over, but can't seem to get the DLC. Also when I am logged into my account on xbox.com there is no list for my 360 content, it's not even an option, only xbox one and PC.
First things first, it’s worth noting that you’re going to need to actually download this new expansion before you’ll have access to it in Borderlands 2. To do this, you’ll want to follow the steps we’ve outlined for each platform below. It’s also worth noting at this point that Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is available on PS Plus for the month of June, and Xbox Game Pass, too.
PS4
- Head to the PlayStation Store
- Search for ‘Borderlands 2’
- Select the ‘Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary’ DLC option that appears.
- Press ‘Download’
Steam
- Head to the ‘Store‘ page
- Search for ‘Borderlands 2’
- Select ‘Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary’
- Hit the ‘Download’ button and wait for the DLC to install.
Xbox One
- Head to the Xbox Store
- Search for ‘Borderlands 2’
- Select the ‘Commander Lilith’ DLC
- Hit the ‘Download’ button and wait for the DLC to install.
How to Start Borderlands 2’s Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC
Now that you’ve got the DLC downloaded, it’s simply a case of loading up Borderlands 2 (or the Handsome Collection) and loading up your save or starting anew if you’ve not played the game before.
After you’ve cleared a few tutorials, or are simply able to access a fast travel station, head to one of these and choose the ‘Fight for Sanctuary’ location now listed.
This can be accessed from any fast travel station in the game, so don’t worry about having to trek anywhere too far, regardless of how far you’ve progressed in Borderlands 2 up until that point.
What is worth noting, however, is that Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary does require you to be at least level 30. If you’ve never played Borderlands 2 before and are just hopping in to check out what the game’s new DLC is all about, you can choose to create a new character from the main menu screen that’ll immediately be level 30.
Then, it’s simply a case of walking through the large doors you’re dropped in front of when traveling to the Fight for Sanctuary location and you’ll be ready to see what’s new. It’s worth noting, however, that the new DLC does follow-on from where Borderlands 2’s story ended. That means there will be a few spoilers lying in wait, in case you’re bothered about that.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know regarding how to start Borderlands 2’s Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to search for Twinfinite.

Borderlands 2is the second installment in the Borderlands action first person shooter video game series. It was developed by Gearbox Software, Aspyr Media, and Iron Galaxy Studios. Borderlands 2 was published by 2K Games in 2012 and was distributed for several platforms, such as Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
Just like the first Borderlands, Borderlands 2 includes a campaign that the player can play through and complete. It is set up just like the original game because there are a few main missions followed by several smaller quests that are optional. There are still for character to choose from and that’s who the player will see the world through.
The four character options are all known as Vault Hunters and they look for treasure on the planet named Pandora. Borderlands 2 also keeps the online multiplayer feature for the campaign gameplay, the spontaneously generated items, and elements that help build up the player’s character.
The four characters offered in Borderlands 2 all differentiate based on the class they are in:
- The first character is named Axton and he is in the class known as the Commandos. Axton is able to spawn in turrets when needed during battles to help attack the enemies. The second character is named Maya and she falls under the class of Sirens.
- Maya is useful to the player by using her skill called phaselock, which completely covers the enemy with a big force of energy.
- The next character is Zer0 and he takes on the role of the Assassin. Zer0 is skilled in becoming invisible and confusing enemies by projecting holograms around them. If the assassin hits an enemy while still invisible there will be an increased amount of damage given to the enemy.
- The final character goes by the name of Salvador and he’s in the class Gunzerker. His special ability involves using two weapons at once to fire at an enemy.
Although there are major similarities in the basics of Borderlands and Borderlands 2, there are also a few differences in the gameplay. The first new feature is a system that allows trade between two players during the multiplayer campaign mode.
A new weapon has been introduced in the Borderlands 2 and it appears in the form of a substance called slag. Anything that is covered in slag will take even more damage if they are hit or attacked. There’s also new weapons that use the E-Tech technology.
Eridium bars are a new form of currency in Borderlands 2. A Secret Stash is a place in the game where players can switch around their items between different character they have, and more storage space can be bought with Eridium bars.
The biggest addition to Borderlands 2 is the system of Badass Ranking. It rewards players with points when they complete one of the optional challenges found throughout the game. These points can be traded in for in game tokens, which are how players increase their stats in both multiplayer and single player.
